Bio:

Jorge is a Mining Engineer at Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria (UNI) and he was part of the team that participated in IPCC-ACM 2006-2007 representing Peru at the international level in programming contests. 

His professional experience in the mining sector had started in 2008, developing in Mine Operations, Dispatch, Continuous Improvement, Costs, Short Term Planning, Medium Term Planning, Long Term Planning, and strategic mine planning in Barrick Gold Corporation, Antamina, and IMSS. In these 13 years of experience, he has been able to lead mining studies in the most important mines in the world.

In 2020 he co-founded the software development company Deep Pit Technology (www.deeppit.org) to develop technology that helps the mining industry to integrate into the digital world with the highest standards of excellence.
